Luna was left behind in a backyard after her family moved away. They took their 3 children and 2 large dogs with them, but not Luna. Neighbors found her and contacted the family, who said that they didn’t want her anymore. She was microchipped and it was registered to the ex-husband of the woman who abandoned her. He didn’t want her either. So we took her into a foster home.
Luna is super sweet little soul who just wants to be cuddled. She is active and playful. It is uncertain if she is house-trained (which is unusual for a senior female dog). The foster family is working on training her and we are working with our vet to rule out any medical issues - so far, nothing significant.
Luna lives with other dogs in her foster home and does fine with them, but would probably appreciate getting all the attention herself. She needs a quiet, older household that won’t leave her alone for long periods of time. She likes to be held and carried everywhere, so she might be a go “take-me-anywhere” type of dog.
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
