Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fisher would like you to look deep into his hypnotizing golden eyes...and then come adopt him! He’ll put a spell on you with those beauties! Fisher is super friendly and knows how to sit when asked. He’s a bit strong on a leash, but with practice he’ll get better. Fisher came to the shelter as a lost boy on 3/22/2022. He is approximately 6 years of age and weighs 62 lbs. He is current on his vaccines, is neutered, and will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet him in run 830, his ID # is 635333. Unfortunately, Fisher tested positive for heartworms, but has completed treatment at the shelter and received his final injection May 2. With treatment, dogs with heartworms usually go on to live long and happy lives!
We have recently discovered that Fisher seems to like the water! He enjoys wading in the baby pools and splashing around a bit! See video below!

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only until further notice, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays.
