Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, friend. My name’s Biscuit, but my pals call me “B.” I'm a 4-year-old mixed breed good boy. I weigh in at a svelte 56 pounds, and the ladies say I have a sleek physique!
I'm still making my way in the larger social circles, but so far I've been doing pretty well. My most recent report card from my trainer came back with mostly B's.
You see, I was never really a bad boy, but food anxiety made me feel like I had to safeguard all of my resources and protect my home or those who provided my food, bed, and toys. However, I’ve made so much progress with it!
I have nipped/bitten (without breaking skin) when being handled by a couple of guys I didn’t yet trust. I’m happy to talk about it more if you want to give me a chance. I know sometimes that can turn people off. It can be really rough to be prejudged before someone gets to know me. 😔
The thing is, with just a few simple verbal commands, I’m good to go again if I slip up or get pushed past my boundaries. I’m like most biscuits if you think about it… I just needed a little kneading and shaping before I’m fully baked.
Also, thanks to my foster moms, I’m feeling pretty ready for my perma-people. I don’t need a mansion, in-ground pool, or anything fancy. The home of my dreams would be one with two legged’s that can understand my canine quirks, reward my pawsitive accomplishments, keep me focused with fun, innovative games and a good snuggle session. Really, I just need someone confident who knows dogs to give me structure and time to learn the rules of the house.
Small kids make me nervous so I'd do best in a home with kids 13 and up! I'm still trying to get more comfortable with the guys... I am working on that!
If you take a look at the pics in my album, you can see the brightness in my eyes & my shiny coat! Not to sound cocky, but I’ve got the hair AND the personality!
Bath time? No problem! I dig the beach and love to relax with my best buddies—human or canine. I also enjoy a nice nap sprawled across the couch or even at your feet while you work. Anything I can do to help my human bring home the bacon!
I got top dog honors for staying alone for hours at a time and sleeping all night in my crate. I also always use the potty outside. For some reason, humans love this?
I’d love some occasional hikes and playtime in the yard is cool too! Playdates with neighbors or my peers is way more fun than constantly meeting new dogs. I'm kind of an introvert 😉
Like I said… a little structure and shaping make loads of difference in helping me be my best self.
I hope you’ll consider making me a part of your home and help me keep being the very best boy I can be! If you live in MA or NH, it’s possible I could be yours really soon if you apply for me at www.survivortails.org. You can also email my friends at adoptions@survivortails.org if you have any questions. Hope to see you soon!
