My story

Susie is a lovely 8 year old Black Lab mix who is around 60 lbs. She loves water and has been swimming in her foster mom's pool. She's a sweet and happy girl that loves getting affection. She has plenty of young dog energy. Her tail is constantly wagging. She LOVES going on walks and playing fetch! But, she is also able to be calm and rest inside.

Susie has definitely lived in a home before as she is potty-trained, free-roam trustworthy, quiet, and is not destructive. She has good house manners and is also good with car rides.

Susie was tested with a house cat and did fine with it. She can hang out with calm dogs, just needs some time to warm up to them.

Susie's ideal adopter will either have a yard for her to run and play fetch in, or take her on daily walks. She is located in Ft Collins. Come and meet her today!

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
