Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kirk is a lovely cat with a charming personality. He is very outgoing and friendly. Kirk is currently in a community room with other female cats and is doing very well.
Kirk is FIV positive which means that his immune system could become a little weaker than a non FIV cat. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs and is only transmitted to other cats through mating and deep puncture wounds. It is not spread via grooming or sharing food bowls or litterboxes. So Kirk can be adopted to a home with other cats whether they are FIV or not. FIV+ cats often live long happy lives and usually live just as long as non FIV cats.
Kirk has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested positive for FIV which is all included in the $35 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $5.
