My story

Hey There! I'm Duke. I am a young male (around 7 months now), but, despite my age, I would consider myself an old soul. My foster pawrents says I am so mellow, and am wise beyond my years. I love to cuddle and be held by my humans. I also am already crate-trained so sometimes I will sit in my crate if I want some alone time. Did I mention I love to talk? I would love to have conversations with my forever family! I am house-trained as well, and am quite good at utilizing my doggy door. 



I am also good with other dogs and kids. What's that? You say I'm perfect?! Well, I hope I am enough for you to adopt me! I've been so patient waiting for my forever home. 



I hope you won't let my past determine my future. I am still working on my manners when it comes to feeding time around my other doggy friends. I need some space when I'm eating, because I just like my food so much. I hope you'll understand. My foster pawrents say I would do well with or without a yard, I'm pretty mellow already so having a backyard is not a deal breaker for me!



I hope you'll give me a chance!

If they are adopting without having other pets we would then sign the contract and collect the adoption fee

More about this rescue

Rusty’s Rescue Ranch is an animal shelter and rehabilitation facility. Our mission is to serve the community by accepting unadoptable and special needs animals and hiring ex-convicts and felons to build promising and prosperous futures. We are the ranch of second chances. As those in the community help us to build this non-profit we hope to keep in mind three simple values in which our staff will work and live by. These three values are Honesty, Community, and Compassion. Our vision is to help as many animals and people as possible. We endeavor to expand our site as much as possible and network nationwide.
