My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Isabella! I'm a bubbly ball of energy, always ready to play and explore. I'm also quite the independent lady, but don't let that fool you. I love nothing more than a good cuddle session. I'm also a bit goofy, my antics are sure to keep you entertained and laughing. I'm not just about fun and games though, I've got a sweet side too. I'm always ready to lend a comforting paw or a sympathetic ear. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my love and joy. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend, a constant companion, and a source of endless entertainment. So, what do you say, are you ready to add a little Isabella magic to your life? Don't forget I come with a free training session with GoodPup to help us build a strong bond from the start. If you would like to meet me come on down to 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. I can't wait to meet you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The LA/SPCA pet adoption process includes meeting with a matchmaker to match your lifestyle with the perfect companion. You will spend time with any of the pets you think would be a great companion. You may even want to come back another day to make sure he is the one! All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before you can take them home. Sometimes your perfect companion has not had this procedure done, so please be patient with us if you have to come back to pick him up.

All of our animals have been spayed or neutered before they are released for adoption. We encourage anyone with animals to spay or neuter their pets.

More about this shelter

Chartered in 1888, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LA/SPCA) is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state. Our mission is to advocate for the animals of Louisiana by advancing their welfare, promoting their interests, and fostering the human-animal bond through innovative programs, education, and service.

The LA/SPCA is not a state, parish or city governed shelter. We are an independent 501(c)3 non-profit offering a broad range of services and programs including advocacy, legislative services, statewide cruelty investigations, sheltering, full-service animal control (Orleans Parish only), adoption, disaster response, education, and obedience programs.
