HISTORY:
Cali came to us from an underserved area in Louisiana.
ABOUT:
Cali is an incredibly loving, affectionate young cat. She loves to be around (or on) her people as much as possible. You can pet her anywhere, pick her up, carry her, pretty much anything you want is fine with her. If you are looking for a loving companion, Cali is that girl. She would love to join an active family with a lot of activity and people to entertain. She is a world class snuggler, and will reward your pets with very loud purrs. She also enjoys having a nice “chat” with her foster family at times. If everyone is too busy to pet her, she does enjoy watching the squirrels out the window and having a nap in the sun.
Cali is not being fostered with small children, but because she loves any and all attention and handling we think she would do great with children. Cali is being fostered with dogs and is comfortable around them, but doesn’t spend too much time trying to interact or play with them.
Cali’s foster home has seen her blossom as she has learned to play and interact with the resident cats. She has become more confident and less dependent on people. We will require that Cali be adopted into a home with at least one other cat who will be willing to play with her on occasion. Cali tends to take the submissive role, so a cat who won’t bully her will be important. Although Cali loves people, they might not always be available and she will really thrive with a feline friend to cuddle and play with.
Cali’s favorite toy is her wand toy with a feather on the end. If she hears the bell jingle she will come running from anywhere in the house. Her foster home has also found she loves to play with the laser pointer. Although Cali LOVES attention and spent almost every minute with her foster family when she first arrived, she is a little shy with strangers. This doesn’t last long as once she is comfortable you will have a best buddy and constant companion.
Adopt Cali and she will make you feel special each and every day. The first step is to fill out our adoption application. More information and our adoption application can be found at www.luluslockerrescue.org
