Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duke is a 2 ½ year old boy who was an owner surrender. Duke is a Hamilton Hound and Beagle mix. At 17 inches and 35 pounds, he takes after his Daddy more than his Mom! He quickly outgrew living in an apartment with a toddler!
Duke was neutered young and has great house manners except for counter surfing. Like all respectable hounds, he has a great appetite, and his nose leads him on that never ending search for food!
Duke is very playful and is learning to be gentle with his smaller pack mates. He excels in all the beagle games but loves to play chase more than anything. He will need a canine companion in his forever home to keep him busy and occupied! Duke has a lot of puppy in him and still jumps up on you when excited. He would not do well with pre-school kids in the house.
Duke is a cuddler when the day is done, and it is time for some TV watching. He always wants the best spot next to you on the couch and will try to fit on your lap if unable to get it! He will make a wonderful addition to an active family in need of a great companion to go on hikes with!
