Coco is another victim of homelessness. Her owners both were recently placed in a nursing home. She is obese, but she is only 5 years old and is perfectly healthy to the best of our knowledge. Her teeth are even in great shape. She is said to be independent and does not like to be picked up. I think that is already changing. She just needs a gentle touch. I'm able to pick her up and carry her just fine. She loves to be petted. She will act like she's going to bite you if you scare her, but nothing that's not common to chihuahuas that have been uprooted from everything they know. She is food motivated and will do a dance for a treat. She needs diet treats though, lol. A little exercise wouldn't hurt either. She is a Chi/Pom. She weighs 18 pounds. She's not used to being around other dogs but is adjusting well to it. She enjoys having a back yard. She is also potty trained. She deserves a home where she will get a lot of attention from someone home a lot. I'm sure she wasn't given a lot of attention as her previous owners became more incapacitated. She is spayed, up to date and chipped. Her adoption fee is $275. If you think you might be the perfect match for her, please apply at www.misfitsdogrescue.org
