My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** If not spayed/neutered prior to adoption, you (the adopter) will be held to a spay/neuter contract to ensure the pet is fixed once eligible and safe for the dog. The cost of the procedure is covered in the adoption fee. THIS WILL NOT BE A BREEDING DOG. If you are looking for a dog to keep unaltered or use for breeding, please seek elsewhere **

Hannah, Harrison, Henry, and Holly are two months old as of the beginning of April. At the two month old mark, they are 2 pounds. Their mom is believed to be a terrier/sheltie mix, around 11 pounds. The father is unknown. She had an "oops" litter and her owners, unable to care for the litter, surrendered them to us. We will be spaying and returning the sweet momma dog to her family once her puppies have found their forever homes! We estimate the puppies to be around her size fully grown. Hannah, Harrison, Henry, and Holly are typical affectionate, energetic, friendly, sociable, trainable puppies. They are good with people and other animals. As puppies, they do not have any training and will require time, effort, and patience from their adopters! Holly's adoption fee is $525 and covers the cost of her MANDATORY AND NON-NEGOTIABLE spay, all core vaccines (Rabies and Distemper/Parvo), microchip and microchip registration.

Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525.

Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/
