Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing, Myrtle! This 3 year old girl was on the euthanasia list in Preble County due to full capacity at the kennel. Luckily a foster family stepped up and saved her life!
Myrtle Diaries:
"My foster family loves to take me for walks - it's one of my favorite things to do I get so excited and my tail wags a mile a minute! I really love to lay in those warm sunny spots that I find throughout the house and I equally love to play fetch inside and outside! My foster mom says I’m so smart and can sit, lay down, wait, stay, shake and sit pretty! I am crate trained but prefer if you give me a treat and some encouragement to tell me that you'll be coming back soon.”
Myrtle is potty trained and does great with her foster brothers (ages 4 & 7!) But would probably do best with kids ages 6 and up. She is highly treat and toy motivated and will do just about anything you ask her if there is a reward involved. She has displayed no resource guarding and even shares her toys with the boys when they want to take them to play fetch. Give this girl a tennis ball and a comfy pillow and she will be content for about 90% of the day and for the rest she just loves to play with her humans and learn new tricks and manners!
Myrtle has not yet been tested with other dogs or cats but from Myrtle's past we are told she does well with same size male dogs!
Myrtle’s adoption fee is $350. You can email kennbeach1996@yahoo.com or visit napetrescue.org/adopt for an application.
We require all of our pups to be indoor animals as well as their cat or dog siblings. We do prohibit tail or ear cropping with our doggos as well.
