My story

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME***
Currently in Boise boarding kennels

Sweet, 1 year old, 71-pound, black Labrador retriever KRATOS is looking for a furever home that could include other dogs and kids. He is a happy-go-lucky pup that has the "joie de vivre".

KRATOS would make a great adventure buddy. He rides well in a car and is house-trained and crate-trained. He doesn't know many tricks yet, but is treat-motivated to learn all good things. He is very moldable!

KRATOS enjoyed playing with his foster-sibling MADDIE. He has loved playing with every dog that he has met. He recently learned to play fetch! He does a cute commando crawl and loves rolling in the grass. KRATOS may be too much for even your dog-savvy cat in the home.

We recently learned that KRATOS enjoys hiking adventures. He was friendly with all the loose dogs and didn't react to the mountain bikers. He said 'hi' politely to strangers.

KRATOS is not learning anything in boarding. Can you open up your home and heart for KRATOS to give him a second chance at furever?

KRATOS' adoption fee of $225 includes all his past medical care, current vaccines, neuter, and microchip.

BACKGROUND: Poor KRATOS...He was hit by a car in mid-February and his family could only afford initial vet diagnostics before having to relinquish the dog to Friends Furever Animal Rescue because of the likely need for more vet work and surgery. Thankfully, the Idaho Humane Society vets took good care of KRATOS. They vaccinated him, microchipped, him, and neutered him. They recently released him for a few weeks of crate rest to help him heal from the impact. He is now good as gold with no activity limitations.

Additional adoption info

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
