My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Where are our LAB LOVERS? Meet Hearts! She is a pretty 1 year old, 65 pound,
black and white Labrador / Shepherd? Mix. In the sun shine you can see
shades of brown in her coat. Her coat is easy care but she needs her ears
cleaned regularly to avoid ear infections. She is being rehomed because her
family does not have the ability meet her needs. Hearts is a very sweet
and loving girl with a big heart. She is a big lap dog and loves getting
pets and belly rubs too. She also had adorable up down ears. Sometimes there
will still be one up and one down. Hearts absolutely loves people. She is
fantastic with people and loves everyone she meets, even at the vet. She
wants to be close to her humans, give them kisses, and lean into them for
hugs. Hearts enjoys playing tug of war, playing with her stuffed animal
toys, and chewing on bones and treats. She enjoys getting treats from her
Kong toy, puzzles, and on her lick mat. She would enjoy the company of
another playful docile dog. She gets over excited in the company of other
dogs and would benefit from some obedience class. She pulls a little on
walks and that can be corrected by training too. She does well in the car
and enjoys sticking her head out the window . Hearts is a smart girl who
easily learns new tricks. She knows sit, stay, come, shake, lie down, off,
and belly rub. She is learning what "go potty" means and knows how to use a
doggy door. Hearts ideal home is with ACTIVE adults with or without
teenagers, where she can be included in life's adventures. Please be a
homeowner with a securely fenced yard. Hearts is up to date on her
vaccines and is spayed and microchipped. OFFICEIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At

We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
