My story

Hello my name is Penny Marie! I am 4 years old I was born on December 19th 2017. I have had 2 TPLO surgerys on my back legs in 2020. I have decided I prefer to be an only dog but I am good with two legged siblings. I take my allergy medication everyday so I won't itch if you wrap it in cheese I will eat it easily. I also take baths every other week to keep my coat nice and shiny. I don't mind baths in a bath tub, not so found of the water hose. After baths I LOVE to run outside as fast as I can and roll in the grass it's my favorite part of bath time. I also like to play in my doggy pool during the summer. I even go swimming with my life jacket, swimming helps strengthen my legs in a more relaxing way. My favorite part of swimming in the lake is catching up to my swimming partner like it's a race! I love to go on hikes, long walks and play but I also love to just lay on the couch and get some good cuddles in. I don't really like loud noises it hurts my ears and scares me so car rides & thunderstorms are hard for me it makes me nervous. Usually my humans will let me cuddle in bed with them, tuck me in a blanket and put on my favorite movie to calm me down. My favorite movie is Moana! My nick name is piggy pittie because I snore and snort like a pig when I get overly excited it always makes babies laugh. I love kids they are my favorite they always give the best hugs and will share food with me. I'm always told I'm so gorgeous and that I'm a smart girl. I know a few commands but I'm always eager to learn more I'm crate trained and potty trained. If you take me home just know I will always love you and follow you wherever you go. I'm such a loyal loving girl I just live to love. XOXO Penny
I hope to meet you soon!

More about this rescue

West Side Animal League is a volunteer organization that rescues animals from various Fort Worth area shelters. We strive to accomplish our goal of responsible pet ownership by raising public awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets and holding adoption events, spending quality time socializing the animals and in many cases bringing them into our homes as fosters until they can find their own fur-ever home. We provide vaccinations and medical care as funds are available. 100% of our expenses are covered by donations and adoption fees. We are only able to accomplish this through the generosity of both time and money from others who also want to make the world a better place for our furry friends. If you would like to find out about opportunities to help, call our League line at 817-565-8222 or go to our meetup site at www.meetup.com/West-Side-Pet-Adoption-Meetup-Group. Thank you for your support as we continue Working to Save Animal Lives!
