After a rough start in life due to the mistreatment by her past owner, Sadie feared people and other dogs that she did not know. Over the past several months, Sadie has lived with one of our fosters specializing in emotional healing.
Over these months, Sadie has become a love bug that craves receiving love from those she has learned to trust. Sadie gives her love back in many different forms, especially by snuggling up next to you on the couch.
Sadie loves to go on walks and chase squires up trees. Yes, she tries to climb the tree. Sadie loves to shred toys and sneak off to sleep on the bed during the day.
Sadie will wake you up in the morning to go on her walk, and then she will sit at her bowl waiting for you to give her breakfast. She will let you know when it is dinner time, and at night, she will let you know when it is time to go to bed because she wants her bedtime treat.
Sadie has been socialized in public and other people’s homes, so she can interact with those she does not know. This socialization has been very successful, and once she feels safe, she will ask you to scratch her ears by pushing her nose under your hand.
Sale has learned to trust and receive and give love freely. All she needs now is a family that will show her love and patience to finish her transition to a perfect family member. Is that You?
If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at http://www.CFP-NC.org/adoptions and we will get in touch with you.

Found an animal on our site and want to meet them or find out more about them? Fill out the adoption questionnaire located below and submit to us. Once we have reviewed/approved your application, we will provide you with the foster contact information so that you can find out more and arrange a “meet and greet”. All of our animals are located in foster homes throughout the Triangle area.
When going to a “meet and greet”, please make sure you take any family members and other pets (if at all possible) to observe their interactions. This can make introduction into the new home easier for the animals and for you.
The animal’s foster parent will ultimately make a recommendation to the organization regarding the permanent placement of the animal. Once an adoption decision has been made by both parties, we ask for an adoption fee to help us cover spay/neutering, shots, medical treatment, food and supplies – this amount only partially cover the cost of expenses and allows us to help as many animals as possible!
What if the adoption doesn’t work out? We have a lifetime return policy on our animals as we don’t want to see them turned back into a shelter.
