Helen is a 20 pound 2 year old shy Beagle female pulled by our rescue from an overcrowded high kill animal control facility.
Helen is a sweet loving girl. She definitely needs a home with a friend who wants to play. She is cat friendly. Can be with both male and female humans. We are working on her being afraid of moving through door thresholds but she loves to be outside and inside with her foster mom. She loves to play with her doggie foster sibilngs. She is learning potty rules and her name! She is a little shy about eating but we are working on it with both dry and canned food. We feel with structure and routine her eating habits will improve as she came to us very underweight. She does okay in a crate if she sees you. If she is in the crate without seeing you she barks for a little bit settles down and goes to sleep. Working on not chewing (shoes). A little skiddish with fast movements. Not yet treat motivated (as of yet) wants to constantly be near her human and cuddled/paid attention too. Helen has amazing potential for a person who will be patient and loving to her. She would do best with someone who has time to spend with her. She will be a great companion and best friend. We are requiring a secure physical fenced yard for Helen.
Helen's adoption fee is $350 which includes her spay, current on vaccinations including Rabies, de-wormed, Heart Worm tested Negative and current on heart worm and flea prevention. Meetings are scheduled after an adoption application is completed online at furgetmenotrescue.org
