Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must apply to adopt and be approved before being able to adopt. No same day adoptions are permitted. The general adoption fee with tax included is $225 for dogs and $115 for cats. All animals are spayed/neutered prior to official adoption.

We are located in Bemidji, Minnesota. Our regular hours of operation are Tuesday - Friday from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 12:30 to 4:30 pm, with some occasional closings on Tuesdays.

Great River Rescue takes-in stray and surrendered cats and dogs. We provided quality care including spay/neutering, needed vaccinations, preventative care, microchipping, training, and personal attention. Our goal is to find a suitable home with responsible pet owners for each animal. We are a private, 501(c)3 non-profit "no-kill" organization supported by our community.
