Betty is an older lady who shares a birthday with a famous Betty, none other than Betty White! Ok, we may have 'guesstimated' that, but we figured since they share a name, why not a birthday?? Our Betty is a laid back gal who is seeking a quiet retirement home where she can get lots of R & R. Her favorite things are naps in the sunshine, canned food, and leisurely sauntering in the yard at her own pace. Since she's not up for much excitement, we are seeking a quiet home with a fenced yard, without much commotion, so an adult-only home is required. Betty would be perfect for a retired person or couple looking for a companion to spend lazy days and movie nights together. Betty has some age-related health issues in that she can't see or hear as she once did, and is currently on a supplement to help her liver function more optimally. She also had a dental and had most of her teeth removed, so a soft diet of quality food to keep her healthy is needed. Betty was found wandering in rural Nebraska and never reclaimed at the local shelter. Dolly's Legacy was asked to rescue her so that we could find placement with the perfect home for her needs. She's a special lady and deserves the very best for her remaining years.
Betty is a female ShihTzu who weighs 10 lbs and was born approximately 1-17-10. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on heartworm preventative. She also had a dental cleaning done and has had full bloodwork panel done. Adoption fee is $250 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
