My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IZZY'S poor body shows the signs of the abuse he has endured in his past. Living outside, no one to feed him, no one to protect him … he most likely had to defend himself from other stray dogs as well as the elements. In the shelter, Izzy was given the basics … food, water and shelter; but he also got to experience what every dog should … unconditional love and affection! He is what we call a work-in-progress … learning that not all people are bad … learning to be in a home setting … learning potty-training … learning how to play nicely; all those things most dogs experience every day. It was all new to Izzy and he has made great strides since being in a foster home. At first glance, most people would write him off and just walk on by, but we see more and want more for him. We are hoping there is an adopter out there that can see his potential and encourage his progress. We believe if given that opportunity … he will ultimately become one awesome little dude. He is super sweet and loving and yearns to be close to people. So, if thinking about adopting, please consider Izzy … look into those soulful eyes and see if you can become his human hero.

♡ IZZY (#26107) - Around 2 years old and 40 lbs. The shelter does require meet and greets with all other dogs. He was fostered with cats and did well (slow introductions suggested). We would suggest no toddlers. He is very friendly and smart and eager to learn. Would benefit from some basic training. Super nice boy who is waiting for a home of his own.

All dogs will come vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped.
