My story

04/15/2022 Meet Astro! He is a year and a month old, Siberian husky mix. Astro is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and heartworm negative. We pulled him from Pender Animal Shelter where he was a stray intake. He is a happy boy who loves his soft toys and treats. He does good on his walks. We feel he would do best in a household without any other animals. If interested in this handsome boy please submit an adoption application. www.penderhumane.org/adoption-form

Why adoption is a great option

Astro, a Burgaw Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Burgaw, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Burgaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burgaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burgaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burgaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
