Besides being crazy cute and super fun, this little man just happens to be the life of the party. His name is Pistol, but we're thinking of changing his name to Barrel of Monkeys, because he's that much FUN!

He is a sweet boy who loves to play either fetch or tug--he is expert at both. He loves to jump in the air, splash in the water and run around like a happy-go-lucky puppy. Although he is 2 years old, he still has a lot of that puppy spirit in him--he is wide-eyed and enamored with the world, curious to explore, wanting to have fun wherever he goes and whomever he is with, exuding joy at being alive. He has a nice snuggle side too.

He has excelled in doggy play groups and has done well with field trips out and about. Whenever he has met potential adopters, everyone leaves with a smile on their face. He is that much fun.

Super Silly and Fun Pistol!

Pistol originally came to us from the Truckee-Tahoe Humane Society where he had been picked up as a stray. They noticed his high energy and toy obsession and reached out to us to see if he might have what it takes to become a search dog! Well, he didn't. He is too interested in too many things to find the laser focus we need for the work our dogs do, so he was released from our professional training program and is now available to ricochet into your life and provide companionship, sportiness, sweetness and smiles.

He is a perfect medium size and has grown leaps and bounds in the manners department in a very short period of time. He just gets better and better the more we get to know him and vice versa.

Pistol is a blank slate, waiting for your imprint! He could be a great sport dog (agility! flyball! dock diving!) or hiking/jogging buddy, or an active companion of any kind.

Pistol is an endearing fellow, trainable and energetic, he wants to do things and to do them with you!
