In the beginning….

Bailey (tan) and Piper (black) are lucky to be alive! These two dolls, and we mean they are absolute sweethearts even with 2nd and 3rd-degree burns on their bodies! In early February a wonderful Veterinarian we are friends with texted us about 4 dogs that were picked up after their home exploded and burned down. Sadly, another dog and cat perished inside with the owner. These two were brought to the ER vet for immediate medical care or potential euthanasia. The ER Vet was not up for that so she spent her own money treating them that night. Sadly, they were in San Bernardino County and funds were an issue. We immediately said we would rescue back them and we spent the next few days trying to get them released as medical fosters. The ER Vet was committed to helping them, but the shelter, Devore, wouldn't budge. They were sent to the shelter and after a few days, a lot of communication they were taken back to a vet for care. They were on a 10-day hold and we are grateful to the community support so they were able to spend most of that at a vet receiving care. As soon as we were able to pull them we did and now they are safe at our Vet getting the round the clock care, wound treatment, meds, and love they deserve! Their skin is progressing, but they will need many weeks of treatment and then a loving foster home to help their emotional wounds heal. These two are so sweet, they are grateful to have their wounds tended to, tails are always wagging and they just want to be close to you. They are both very special. Bailey is a female and Piper is a male.
