My story

James Timothy enjoys spending his afternoons lounging on the screened in area where he can watch everything that is going on in his cottage and outside as well. Although he is a little shy, he enjoys the company of people and other cats. He does not mind being petted and gently brushed.  He can surely be handled enough to go in a carrier but is still too shy to be picked up and cuddled close.  We feel he would adjust best and be happier in a quiet home.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year. ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
