Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The amazing Sterling is looking for his forever family! Sterling is a 1 ½ yr old healthy collie mix. A DNA test revealed he is collie/sheltie/greyhound/saluki. He’s a little under 50 lb., typical collie size, and slender. Sterling is exceptionally sweet and affectionate and will steal your heart fast. He doesn’t jump on people and is not a big barker. He is good with other dogs and loves to play chase. He always wins! He is so fast! He has a strong prey drive, so absolutely no cats! Not kid tested but I’m sure he would do well with them. He is not shy and loves going places, hopping in the car no problem. He is being fostered in a home with a dog savvy cat that doesn’t run. I would be wary of putting him with most cats with so much sighthound in him. Pulled from a local shelter after being found as a stray, we don’t know his history but I can tell he was not an inside dog. He is now house trained and crate trained although he is not very fond of being crated. He still has a little puppy in him though, so I crate him when I’m gone just to be safe. I am working on breaking him of digging in the yard and counter surfing. The digging is mostly out of boredom but I do not leave him outside unsupervised. The counter surfing is slow going as he’s so sneaky he’s hard to catch and correct. I leave no food on the counters. Sterling is a diamond in the rough and only needs a little more polishing to become just an awesome family dog.
