My story

Meet pumpkin! Aka Big Ass Cat!

4 yrs young found as a stray 3 yrs ago in city neighborhood kids abusing him with fireworks. We received a call from a local begging we help. So we did. Super social loving friendly in your face outgoing sweet baby who is also not 15 pounds! He is a hunk of love! A big hearted hunk! Great with cats, dogs and all critters from birds to gerbils and turtles and more.

He is known as big daddy and grooms everyone including us humans. He also likes to micromanages the cat room and make sure to keep the peace. Loves to eat and loves all humans big and small. If you ever wanted a cat for your kid, Pumpkin is it!

Pumpkin is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines.

Additional adoption info

Completed applications MUST be Printed & Mailed via United States Postal Service. We are a volunteer-based rescue, meaning every person involved is doing their best. Taking time out of their busy day to best help provide proper daily maintenance care for every dog and/or cat in our care until the best match with a happy forever adopter is made. Normally our adoption application processing review may take 2 to 3 weeks give or take. If you are seeking same-day adoptions then AHS may not be the best fit for your needs. We do not agree with impulse adoption. Adopting any pet is a decision that should not be taken lightly nor made impulsively.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based all-volunteer program. We are not a government shelter facility nor are we open to the public. Our adoption process can take 2 to 3 weeks from the time you mail it in to the time that we reach out to you. If you are window shopping we are not the rescue for you. We are seeking committed adopters.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit licensed rescue. Our mission is to help homeless animals find great forever homes. Educating the public on spay and neuter. Sharing joy and respect for all precious life. Our heart is with the community, helping families keep their pets at home. We have a few programs including Feeding the homeless and their pets. The hospice heaven program consists of pulling older cats and dogs from high kill shelters and placing them in a loving home. Matching senior pets with a senior home.
