Lia is ready to find her happy ever after! Lia came to us pregnant from a hoarding situation. She had lived her life in a barn and had raised who knows how many pups without much human interaction. She is approximately 3 years old, 15 lbs and we think possibly a chi/ min pin/ doxie mix. Lia delivered her pups in her foster home and has been the best mom to them! She does take a little bit to warm up to new people but once she trusts you she will be your best friend and wants nothing more than to be loved and share the couch and bed with you! Lia does well with the small dogs she knows in her foster home but can be fearful of large dogs. Lia does chase cats. She is an easy happy dog but will take time to decompress in her forever home. She is working on leash training and is almost completely house broken. She has been spayed, microchipped dewormed and is up to date on her vaccines including rabies. If you would like to meet our mama girl Lia please fill out an application at https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/index.php/applications/adoption-application/
Her adoption fee is $300

Ozzies Pound Puppies is an all breed dog rescue based in Concord, CA. Our volunteers are committed to rescuing unwanted and abandoned dogs from the public and from shelters. Ozzies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives no government funds. You can help make a difference for a shelter dog by fostering, adopting, volunteering or donating.
WHAT WE DO
Every day, hundreds of dogs are euthanized in shelters across the nation. City and county shelters are overrun with stray and surrendered dogs and have run out of space, this is why they have to euthanize dogs. Dogs are only given a short time to be adopted and then they get put down. Our Rescue will take in dogs that have run out of time at the shelter and find homes for them, thus freeing up shelter space and finding adoptable dogs a new family.
