My story

Izzy
Gender: Female
Age: 8 years
Weight: 78 lbs
Personality: Sweet, social, friendly

Please join us in welcoming IZZY! This sweet and social gal LOVES meeting new people and will melt even the coldest of hearts. She recently joined our pack and is ready for her forever home. Izzy believes age is just a number and doesn’t let it slow her down – she loves to romp around the play yard  and take walks with you.  Izzy wants to be your best friend and would like a home where she can be the only pet.  Once  adopted, Izzy is eligible for 6 weeks of free training in our Prison Training Program to brush up on her basic commands, loose leash walking skills and crate training. If you are ready to open your home to this big hunk of love, apply to adopt Izzy today!

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, we choose dogs that would most likely be euthanized at the shelter. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
