My story

"Heylo! My name is Marley. I am a very loyal girl. I warm up to people slowly, but once I do -- I will do anything to make you happy. I am a typical Border Collie and am always looking for a job to do. I need to find a home, where you will give me that job to do...otherwise, I will make jobs up by myself. My perfect home would be with a single person or an active couple who have no children. I have met several children and I have done just fine with them, but I prefer to be the center of attention. I suppose I could tolerate the older ones, say 12+ years. I would make an excellent agility dog or even a herding dog! I show great potential to learn how to do anything as long as you take time and patience to teach me. I prefer to be the only pet, but I do okay with the other ones around...and as I said before, I enjoy being the center of attention. I have been working on my manners and my obedience since coming to this nice rescue place. This process will need to be ongoing to keep me healthy and well behaved! I love to go for car rides and enjoy exploring the country side if you have the chance to take me out and about! I am looking for a special person who is willing to be my "pack leader" and spend lots of time with me and give me lots of exercise--both physically (a tired dog is a good dog) and mentally (I'm too smart for my own good). It would be great if my special person has experience with my breed too...by any chance, you're not my special person are you?"
