Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Eevee!
She is a 7 month old, 35lb female Siberian Husky.
Eevee is super high energy, very sweet, friendly, and loves to play *anything*.
Toys are awesome but chase in the backyard is awesome too!
Will play fetch, most of the time she will return the ball, occasionally she must show her trophy to the whole yard first.
She is good in her crate and doesn’t try to escape the fence.
(Although she is a digger!)
*She is very dog friendly (even small dogs!)* but can be a bit pushy, so if a potential adopter has another dog- we should definitely do a meet & greet to make sure she isn’t too much.
Eevee also struggles with a lot of fear.
She is seeing the world for the first time right now and it’s very scary for her. Things both inside & outside the home (running appliances, cars, television, etc.), other humans, sounds, changes in the environment- all scary. This is not the kind of dog who is going to be able to go everywhere, meet everyone right off the bat.
She needs time.
But she is also not the kind of dog to cower in the corner- she will investigate the trigger and then decide is it’s okay or if it is still too weird for her.
We’re working really hard to prepare her for a home by doing obedience training and by taking her places every day. Most of the time, we just sit in the parking lot with her loose in the back and let her just look at the cars and the people in passing, using treats to help her associate the new things in a positive way. This is currently her max-socialization. I am seeing *less* fear & anxiety with every outting!!
She is a very good, sweet little girl who is looking for a forever home that is quiet and calm but also super fun. It would probably be better for her to not have children but to have other dog(s) (highly advise NO CATS) in the home. She is looking for someone who will take the time to help catch her up on life and be patient with her as she learns the world is not as scary as she thinks it is!
She will be up to date on vaccines, microchipped, & spayed before going home!
