This boy is 100% love. He was adopted back in January of 2015, and returned to the shelter this summer. He was returned missing most of his coat, and much to our sadness and dismay, had been living chained outside. His adopter said she had been back and forth to the vet to see why his coat was so bad, but when we called her vet to verify, we found that wasn’t a true story. Since he came back to us in July, his coat has come back in beautifully. He was also Heartworm positive when he came back. Our boy will be Heartworm treated by us, all expenses paid by us. But it sure would be wonderful if he could be settled into a new, loving home before he goes through treatment. Barry is an absolute love, he would be a Velcro dog in a heartbeat. He soaks up every word, every gentle touch like a huge sponge. It’s very clear that he has some time to make up for. We certainly don’t mind helping him with that. Everyone here loves Barry to pieces. He’s just that dog that leaves you no choice but to love him. We’ve just started trying him with other dogs, and he has way to go before we say he’s great with other dogs. But he certainly holds promise. Other than that, Barry is perfect. If he stays with us, we are sure that will change in time.
