My story

**Courtesy Post** Birdie in San Antonio/La Vernia, Texas:
Birdie!!!!! A great little Jack Russell Terrier girl! Her age is about 2 years old and she weighs about 17 pounds. She loves people and is happy and loving. All vet work is done including micro chip, vaccinations and spay. Her adopter will receive a copy of all records. As you can tell by her photo she likes to play in the water. She is the type of dog who would like to do anything that you do. She can run errands with you, watch TV, go hiking or biking, garden ....anything!!!!! However, she needs to be an only dog. Birdie wants all the attention. Also, Birdie requires a home with no cats and no small kids...over 14 years of age only. She will need a securely fenced yard. No chainlink, no electronic fencing and no wrought iron. You must be comfortable with a visit to your home and have a good vet reference. There is a small rehoming fee. Birdie’s adopter must be able to drive to the San Antonio/La Vernia, Texas area to get her. Please contact Birdie’s owner for more information and an adoption application at lvrabbit1127@yahoo.com

Why adoption is a great option

Birdie in San Antonio, a San Antonio Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
