My story

Tuffy is currently being rehomed by his owner and is not at the Paws4ever faciltiy. Please contact Alanna at if you are interested in adopting this sweet man!

If you are looking for a devoted, lovable dog...look no further. Let me introduce myself. My name is Tuffy or "old man" like my friends like refer me as... My perfect match would be someone who loves to cuddle and be my constant companion. I love to nestle under your feet or in your lap. I am a rescue dog, so I inherited some medical issues. I can get lonely at times, so I am a great travel companion and enjoy short or long rides. I take medication for my anxiety and inflammation in my hind legs. My favorite meal is chicken mixed with the hard stuff. LOL!

I don’t mean to brag, but people tell me I’m a lot like Liam Hemsworth with captivating eyes and am completely devoted to those I love. When I am not admiring your every move, I'd love to be relaxing on my bed or watching TV. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties?

More about this rescue

Paws4ever is dedicated to creating and growing lifetime relationships between pets and people through adoption, education, training, and care. The Paws4ever Adoption Center is a placement partner for animals transferred from county shelters, including Orange, Chatham, Caswell, Alamance, Wake, and Durham, where the number of adoptable pets outpaces the space to house them. Our Learning Center provides the most affordable and comprehensive array of dog training in our area, and the sanctuary is also home to a 3-acre dog park. Our Legacy Care program provides peace of mind for pet owners by ensuring care for when owners are no longer able to provide that care.
