My story

I am Max!  I am a sweet sensitive teenage girl, who needs a moment to learn that you're a friend. Life has started out rough for me. I had a tail injury and my humans said it had to be amputated.   I'm so lucky that I was rescued with my brother, JAX!  We were actually living at a Bojangles!  My tail amputation hasn't slowed me down at all! I am a gorgeous sassy green-eyed bob tail now which makes me even more unique!  I love playing with all my toys, especially my laser light! I am easy going and love my rub downs. I do love my sibling brother Jax and he gives me the confidence I need! We have been through a lot together and I think I would be lost without him!  I am completely vetted and ready for my forever home. Please come see me (us) and fall in love!  FURR gives a good discount for adopting TWO attached kitties!

More about this rescue

F.U.R.R. is a small, non-profit organization made up of volunteers that have rescued and helped hundreds of cats that were in dire need and had no other humans to turn to. These include injured cats, sick cats, feral cats, cats whose owners had died without making arrangements for their pets, abandoned cats that were left when their owners moved, homeless mom cats with kittens, homeless kittens whose mom cat had died…the list goes on and on. Basically they are mostly homeless and unwanted cats that would have been euthanized in a shelter, died on the streets from an illness or accident, or continued to reproduce and add to the cat overpopulation problem. Not only has F.U.R.R. helped the cats, but we've also helped many people in our community, people who have feral or stray cats overpopulation problems. Equally important is that many, many F.U.R.R. rescued kitties have been adopted and are now safe and loved! Our cats and kittens are adopted to families and individuals to approved homes. An interview and a completed adoption application are required, and you will have the opportunity to meet the cat or kitten you are interested in. All applications will be carefully screened, and veterinary and personal references will be called. All F.U.R.R. cats and kittens have been tested for FIV, FeLV, heartworms, and have been treated for parasites (fleas, worms, ear mites). They also receive distemper/combo vaccinations, a 1 year rabies vaccination, and are already spayed or neutered if old enough. There is an adoption fee but this is a very small price to pay for a fully vetted cat or kitten, and the love you will receive from your new kitty! Some of our kitties are residing in foster homes, but most of them live in the F.U.R.R. rescue facility, while they are waiting to be adopted. If you would like to meet a particular cat, or would like to meet several of the kitties, please contact Terry at adoptafurrcat@gmail.com to arrange a visit to meet the kitties. You can also visit us at our web site at http://www.catfurr.org. F.U.R.R. is only able to rescue these wonderful cats & kittens because of donations from kind and generous people like you. Please help save a kitty's life by making a contribution to F.U.R.R.! Your donations are used for testing for FIV, FeLV, heartworms, vaccinations, and spay/neuter for rescued cats and kittens. Every $ counts and gets us that much closer to saving another kitty! Donations can be made via PayPal by visiting our website. Transactions made through PayPal are secure and if you don't have a PayPal account you can use a credit card to make a donation! You can also make your contribution by sending a check to : F.U.R.R.
