PHOTO:  'Waiting for a treat'

Johnnie knows sit, down and stay.  He is so smart.  Johnnie Walker is  one of four pups born to a stray mother.  The mother found a safe place to have her puppies in an out building with a kind owner.  She was fed and sheltered, but it wasn't going to be her forever home.

They all (mom and pups) were surrendered to animal control when the pups were weaned.

Johnnie loves playing with other dogs of medium size.  He learns a household routine very quickly.  He loves attention and does play with dog toys.  He does yip during transition from outside to inside and again from inside to out.  But the yipping ceases once he is settled into the new environment.  A doggie door would be heaven for him.

Additional adoption info

FRIENDS FOR LIFE When you adopt an animal either a dog or a cat, you are taking on a lifetime commitment. Healthy dogs and cats live to between 10 and 15 years. To raise a pet properly, you must take on the care and treatment to the fullest extent. That means that you have to have annual checkups to ensure their health, all immunizations must be kept up to date, and they must have the proper diet. In addition, the animal must be protected by having a secure and safe place to live and a clean and dry place to sleep. If you are willing to take on this commitment, then you can make application to adopt a pet. Visit our website at http://www.okfflas.org
