My story

Charley is one of the most friendly dogs you will ever meet! He would be an amazing hiking buddy or running partner and might even like canoeing, camping, and the park. This smart boy is so eager to please and a quick learner. Charley is learning how to walk on a leash, how to sit, and how to keep all four on the floor. He can't wait for you to continue teaching him how amazing life can be as an indoor dog. Charley has mastered house training and crate training! He does wonderfully with foster dog and cat siblings, however... he can use direction with other dogs that aren't well balanced and try to challenge him as he can feel a bit overwhelmed. He just needs you to lead him so he knows he is okay. This adventurous guy can be a little bit of a challenge when it comes to staying in a short, fenced in yard. He just knows there is so much out there he wants to explore. So Charley will need a 6 foot fence or leash walked for his safety. Charley is likely a Labrador Retriever mixed possibly with Border Collie and a big cuddle bug!
Charley's adoption fee is $200 and he is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. You can fill out an application for him at https://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs/. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

More about this rescue

Paw Patrol is a dedicated group of volunteers working to improve the quality of life for pets living in our community. Our Mission is: OUR MISSION - To rescue and re-home neglected, abused, or otherwise unwanted pets into loving homes. - To provide shelter in the form of a lean-to or doghouse to outdoor pets in an effort to keep them dry and warm. - To provide outdoor dogs with alternatives to chaining in order to improve their quality of life. - To promote the importance of spaying/neutering pets and to offer this service to pets in our community. - To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of pet tethering. - To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their pet happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
