TESSA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Tessa      Best Guess for Breed: Pointer mix   

Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of April 2022     SEX:  Female

 

Approximate Weight: 55 lbs

 

Gets Along With:  Tessa has done well with other dogs in the shelter. She should not go to a home with cats as she is a little too interested in them! We haven't seen her with kids but she can be tested.

 

Currently Living at:  Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area

 

Tessa is Looking For:  Her forever home! This pretty girl is out of the puppy yips and as an experienced dog, she knows what's most important in life: Being under her own roof, safe and loved. She's ready to accompany her humans on long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. In exchange, she promises to serve as the best weighted blanket ever when temps drop, and loyal companionship for all her days.

What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training. 

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online HERE .

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
