My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Gabriela! Gabriela is a female, beautiful Grey domestic short hair who is approximately a year and half old. Gabriela has been a resident in our rescue for exact 551 days. Well over a year! She she was apart of last years kitten season. She was found with Marlow, Rodrigo, and Pippi. Marlow and Rodrigo have since been adopted- but Gabriela and Pippi have been looking for their FURRever homes ever since. It’s her turn to find her FURRever home! Gabriela is a shy little girl when it comes to humans. Gabriela will need a human that will give her endless amounts of patience, and encouragement. Aside from that, slowly but surely, she is coming around and making a lot of progress in coming out of her shell. She loves to lay on the couch or the bed and now even your lap, she loves to have her butt and her chin scratched! Gabriela is amazing with other cats, as shown in the pictures— with her foster siblings who aren’t up for adoption! Gabriela also gets along with small dogs, or even big dogs that are used to cat! Gabriela needs other compassionate cats in the home to help her ease out of her shell, she loves the cuddly affection from other cats. Having other cats in the home is a must for Gabriela.

Additional adoption info

The time it takes to process an application largely depends on the speed at which we are able to contact personal references. If approved, we go over an adoption contract that the adopter will sign, and it is at this time that an adoption fee is required. If an adoption does not work out for any reason, our adoption contract requires that the kitty be returned to Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc.

More about this rescue

We are a foster-based no-kill cat rescue that is working to better the lives of cats in Gloucester and Camden Counties. We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones. Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a furrever home can be found.
We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory.
Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals.

Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends."

Our volunteers work hard to:
-Provide safe, loving care in foster homes until a furrever family can be found.
-Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
-Find new Furrever Homes for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters.
-Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs.
-Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund".
-Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.
