Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Husky lovers, can you hear Miska calling? Miska, meaning "Little Bear" in Inuit, is a super smart, expressive, and affectionate girl that is looking to be the apple of your eye. She loves to play with tennis balls, walks nicely on a leash, and has a nice medium energy level; she's happy to go exploring with you and has to get out her "zoomies" from time to time but will settle down for a nice petting session. This fuzzy girl has a typical husky prey drive and would need to be the only pet in the home. Miska is seeking an active, husky experienced household with children aged 12+. If you would like to learn more about Miska please give us a call at 516-869-6311 or email animalshelter@northhempsteadny.gov to request an adoption application.
** reminder- we are currently facilitating adoptions by appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment we will be unable to accommodate you. Thank you for understanding.
Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.org for more information about and directions to the shelter.
