As a stray, Charley made his way to the home of a sweet, cat-loving couple. The couple cared for Charley, providing food, water, shelter, a heated bed and electric heater in the winter, and regular vet visits. He had found his home and his new human parents. After several years, Charley’s human mama was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away in just 20 days of diagnosis.
His human daddy was in a position to sell the house, knowing he could not take Charley with him.
The family began the process of trying to find a new, loving home for Charley. But when the moving trucks and trailers showed up, cleaned out the house and moved patio furniture, Charley got scared and ran away. The new home owners arrived with dogs, and Charley never returned.
After several weeks of hanging flyers, checking vet clinics, and walking the neighborhood, there was still no sign of Charley.
Three months after Charley went missing, the family received a phone call from a kind-hearted lady in the neighborhood who feeds strays. Charley found her!
Charley is in need of his forever home. He’s been through a lot since his mama passed away. He is a very sweet boy in need of a new safe place and the love he so deserves.
Older kids are OK but little kids scare him.
