My story

Memphis is 3 years old, 70 lbs, fully vetted, microchipped, neutered, crate trained, house broken, good with other dogs and cats don't bother him. He sits on command, takes treats very gently, and loves car rides. He allowed foster mom to cut his nails with no problems at all. He hates the vet and will have to be muzzled to go but other than that is a great dog. Please open your home and heart to this sweet boy. He is heart worm postive and is doing slow kill. Rescue pays for prevention until he tests negative.

If interested please fill out an application at operationsaveashelterdog.org. Adoption fee is $250.

Additional adoption info

We dedicate ourselves to ensuring that it is a good fit for adopters and dogs.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
