Meet Max! This handsome guy is very family oriented. He is smart and treat/toy motivated for easy training. He already obeys several commands and walks well on a leash. He loves to play tug of war, go on walks and play with his chew toys. He is good with most other dogs, when introduced properly. Prior to being rescued, Max was shot 3 times. He still has 2 bullets in his torso. Max’s vet has concluded that it would be in his best interest to leave things “AS IS”. Max will sometimes walks with a limp, but his vet assures us that he is not in pain. He would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep him from getting bored. But most of all he just wants to be with his family.
He is house trained and crate trained. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. If you would like to meet this adorable guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at FORrescue.net. Max is located in Huntsville, Alabama. Friends of Rescue requires a home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Max, a Homewood Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Homewood.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
