My story

Age: ~7 / Weight: ~28 lb

Hello, I'm HENRY! Me and my buddy Quincy came to the shelter when our owner could no longer keep us. Now we are looking for a new pad, together or separately. We obviously enjoy each other's company but can also adjust to going our separate ways.

Even though I'm seasoned with age, I'm still quite active and enjoy jamming around, going on walks, playing with toys, etc. I can also easily kick back and relax like a good 'ol boy. I'm healthy, house-trained, and here for all the human love and affection.🥰

I love people and do great with kiddos! While I grew up with a dog friend in my previous home, I can be a bit wary of unfamiliar dogs. But, with a thoughtful intro I could learn to share my space with a new pup. Especially a cute lady pup! Then again, I'd also be fine being the only dog and getting all the attention.

Do you have room in your heart and home for me? Contact the SCSPCA staff for more details or fill out an Adopter's Profile!

Additional adoption info

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details! **Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey. If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready. If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
