My story

Patience and routine are 2 key things needed to win this little silly girl over. She isnt a fan of human cuddling or holding but loves to know what you are doing and participate in her own way. She will come up for playtime and quick pets once she is comfortable with you. Dumplin is approximately 2 yrs old. She was brought to the shelter after being found in the woods. Dumplin is learning that the world isn't always so scary. She will need a fenced yard and a dog friend to help her continue in building confidence and trust. She has a very playful, puppy like demeanor that she is just now discovering. Antlers, bones and soft toys have been the most interesting and fun for her. Other dogs are her favorite to play with. Please click on the adopt me button to fill out the online form and someone will be in touch soon.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
