My story

Age: ~ 4y/o

Hello, I'm RAINBOW!

My full name is actually Heidi-Ho-Rainbow, but you can call me Rainbow for short. I came to the SPCA after my owner was no longer able to care for me. I had been living with an extended family member that loves me dearly, but unfortunately, I wasn't getting along with the resident cat (so an only pet placement would be best for me). All of that being said, my previous owner reports that I am a "shadow cat" that would follow her everywhere, I enjoy being petted, and I am very friendly. Since I am used to being in a home environment, I have been a bit reserved here at the shelter, but I am quite certain that once I find my forever home, I will be back to being my affectionate self!

Additional adoption info

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details! **Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey. If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready. If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
