My story

Apollo is 7 months old and we believe Lab / Beagle mix.  He was adopted as a puppy and still has his puppy ways.   He is a sweet dog, but was left to grow up without any structure so he is now back in foster care where he is learning how to play and have manners.  Apollo will thrive with structure with a family that understands pups take time to grow and learn from their humans.

Apollo's adoption fee is $175.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org

Why adoption is a great option

Apollo, a Hillsboro Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
