My story

The Showgirls litter were born March 14th, 2022. Their mother looks like a German Shepherd, but we never saw Daddy. They're all in foster homes learning basic manners but will require further training once adopted to make them the best pups possible.

To adopt one please apply on our website: SHELTERFRIENDS.ORG

Their adoption fee is $175 per puppy and includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, deworming and microchip.

**WE ARE NOT A SHELTER** We're a foster-based rescue run by unpaid volunteers. Your application takes up to 5 days to be processed and then we'll email you. Add our email: shelterfriendsok@gmail.com to your contacts list to avoid our messages going to spam. Thank you!

Why adoption is a great option

Tess, a Newcastle German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
