Maxwell seeking an adopter! This cutie boy is currently our Volunteer Lounge/office dog. Maxwell is around 40lbs and fully grown at 9 years old and a beagle mix. He is expertly potty trained with no accidents. Very social and knows many tricks. Has lived with children before. Very sweet and doesn’t require much except for some pets and somewhere comfy to nap on. Has walked passed rabbits several times with no issue, could likely live with cats after a slow introduction. Plays with dogs but needs correction at times because sometimes he gets overzealous. Max is heart worm positive and is receiving oral meds daily to prepare him for heart worm treatment (that is covered in his $150 adoption fee thanks to the Friends of the Norfolk Animal Care Center) Interested? Reach out to NACC@Norfolk.gov or come by to see him in person!
