My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

   April of 2022, that's when six/seven-year-old Zigzag ended up in the Trenton Shelter after being found outside on the street. We can't believe that in 20 months no one has been interested in Zigzag .. She’s an adorable petite little cat , we totally don’t get it. First, she gets dumped outside and we can't seem to find a potential adopter interested in meeting her. She really hopes 2024 is her year, that her luck changes and that she finally finds her forever person or people .
    Although Zig Zag loves people once she gets comfortable in a new place, other cats not so much, (but she tolerates the ones she is in foster with). Her preference is really to be the only kitty in her home. She knows she is a special kitty and would like to be the queen of the house. At her age she has many years left of love to give to whoever adopts her. She did very well with the 12-year-old house guest who was staying with her foster family over the summer, but very small kids might be too much for her.
     She loves toys, sleeping in her bed and in her cat tree. When we first got Zigzag last year, she really didn't trust people very much, it was very heartbreaking because, we knew it meant she hadn't been treated nicely before we got her. But, after being with her wonderful foster family, she LOVES people, she just had to learn people are nice. Once she figures out someone is nice and gives them the Zigzag seal of approval, she is a total lap cat. She spends every night in her foster dad’s lap while he is watching TV and she sleeps with people at night in bed.  She loves her foster parents, but she wants her very own forever home and person/people.
