My story

BLUE is a very loving affectionate dog. He knows how to walk on the leash and he is house-trained. He will come when called and he is very smart. He has gotten his shots and a microchip. He has been neutered and is available for adoption.
He would love YOU to come out and meet him -
Maybe he will be YOUR new best friend.

This guy was found with his sister and puppies - under the back deck of a house being renovated on Retta I Flour Bluff.
Poor dogs were abandoned by their former owners. I guess the neighbors were feeding them because both adult dogs were not thin. They were discovered by the people doing the remodel on the vacant home.
We got a phone call at 10 PM - Saturday night - asking if we could take 2 dogs and 3 puppies.
We told them to bring all the dogs to the rescue in the morning - on Sunday - and we would take them in. Sadly, Overnight, 2 of the puppies died and in the morning we got 2 dogs and 1 puppy.
The Last puppy is still alive and he is doing well with the mother dog.
** Update Mom and Baby have been adopted**

Why adoption is a great option

Blue, a Corpus Christi Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Corpus Christi, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Corpus Christi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corpus Christi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corpus Christi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corpus Christi paves the way for another one to be saved.
